Cleveland Cascades is pleased to share the latest progress on the two Cascade Systems being supplied for the Westshore Project in Vancouver, Canada.

Since the initial announcement last year, the systems have advanced significantly through the build process. Both Cascade Systems have now been received back from paint, with the tiling of the steelwork fully completed. The project represents Cleveland Cascade's first 1800 size GRP cone arrangement, designed to provide the ideal balance between capacity and load handling, positioned between its established 1700 and 1900 size systems.

The systems are currently in the assembly stage, where installation of the full suite of electrical equipment is underway. This will include safety and automation features such as position and load monitoring, collision detection, slack rope indication, height indication, and material detection.

Following assembly, each system will undergo trial fitting to ensure full functionality and alignment before final dispatch to site.

This stage marks an important milestone in delivering these high-capacity systems, which are designed to handle Granular and Standard Potash at rates of up to 3,000 metric tonnes per hour while incorporating advanced dust suppression technology.
