The opening of the $117 million Impala Port in Barrancabermeja is also bound to increase the amount of cargo being transported to and from the east to the country. This will include not only hydrocarbons, but also coal, corn and cement, all of which will arrive at this new hub port by road. For this year, Impala Terminals Barrancabermeja is expected to handle around 30,000 tons of dry bulk products to silos, in addition to 720,000 barrels of petroleum. BC
