A Cascade Chute to load Urea is to be supplied to Nigeria to feature along with a Mobile Shiploader to be supplied by Samson Materials Handling.

The Cascade Chute will be designed to load Urea at 600 tonnes per hour. The Chute has a maximum capacity of 1,400 cubic metres per hour.

All primary fabrications will be painted for protection from the corrosive nature of the material. Each of the running faces within the Headchute will be lined with Stainless Steel and cones with UHMWPE AS for abrasion protection.

The Head Chute will be supplied as a Pivoting style to allow for interface with the luffing shiploader. The Cascade Chute will extend to a length of 18.33m and can be retracted to 6.60m, additionally the system will feature mechanical locking to suspend the system allowing maintenance to take place on head chute components.

As standard, the system will feature a locally mounted spool type winch unit for extension and retraction. Also included is a 360 degree rotatable trimmer outlet that can be interchanged with the skirt outlet.

The standard trimming spout is an extension to the lower carrier assembly of which has 360° rotation. It allows limited loading of material beyond the range of the boom / bridge travel. It also allows directional loading for inaccessible storage areas. The trimming spout rotates on a bearing fitted between the carrier frame and the rotating bobbin. It is driven by a geared motor fitted onto the carrier frame. The motor allows the trimming spout to be rotated clockwise and anti-clockwise from the operator’s controls.

The system can be seen in the Gallery below.
