The latest order underway for Cleveland Cascades is for 3 x Rail Wagon loading systems to be delivered to Sweden.
These systems will be designed to load Hot Briquetted Iron Ore at 1,400 tonnes per hour. The material is extremely abrasive with a temperatures up to 150°C during loading through the chute, as such, the cone and headchute running faces are to be lined with 6mm Hardened Steel for abrasion protection.
The Chutes will be Cleveland Cascades' 900 size systems suspended from a fixed type headchute with an extended length of 5m and retraction of 2.5m, with vertical height controlled by a locally mounted spool winch. The steelwork will be finished Hot Dip Galvanised for corrosion protection.
These systems will feature the company's double rubber skirt outlet to handle the high temperatures of the HBI material. Each chute will also include material detection, vertical travel limits, collision detection and slack rope alarms, all of which will be integrated with the conveyor loading system for safety and automation.
The gallery below shows some previous systems that had similar design to that of the new systems for Sweden.
