Cleveland Cascades are presently working on the supply of 2 x identical Cascade Chutes to be supplied for the Westshore Project, Vancouver, Canada.
These systems will be designed to load granular and standard potash at rates of up to 3,000 metric tonnes per hour.
The chutes will be supported by a luffing boom shiploader, with an extended length of 22 metres retracting to approximately 7m.
Cleveland Cascades' headchute interface will be a pivoting style to compliment the luffing function of the shiploader.
This supply will see the introduction of a new system sizing for the company at its first 1800 size GRP cone arrangement finding the perfect load and capacity balance between its existing 1700 & 1900 size systems. The cones will be fitted with 4mm Sintered Alumina Ceramic liners for abrasion resistance.
Each Cascade System will include Cleveland Cascades' full suite of electrical components for safety and automation along with a locally mounted spool type winch system for the raise and lower functions. The features will include, position and load monitoring, collision detection, slack rope indication, height indication and material detection.
The systems will feature Cleveland Cascades' outer shroud and skirted outlet for dust suppression.
The gallery below provides the design images of the system as it is to be built.
