According to figures released by ANTAQ, publicly owned ports in Brazil handled 43.22 million tonnes in July, up 6.02%. Once privately owned ports are added, those figures rise to 118.96 million tonnes, up 1.38% compared to July 2023.
For the first seven months of the year, Brazilian ports handled a total of 764.7 million tonnes.
 
Those commodities performing best were wheat (up 59.75%), sugar (up 22.18%) and fertiliser (up 18.55%).
