Stewart Group, the UK-based
international inspection, analysis and
assaying group has formed a significant
new partnership with Canadian
specialist metallurgical and mineralogical
research laboratory G&T Metallurgical
Services.  This collaboration, between
the world-renowned assaying group and
Canada’s most respected mineral
processing and research laboratory, will
provide mining companies across the
globe with an integrated service at
every stage of the exploration cycle
from early stage green field exploration
to mine production.
G&T Metallurgical Services, based in
Kamloops, British Columbia, was
established in 1990 to provide a range
of services to mining companies seeking
to develop new mineral deposits or to
improve existing mining processes.
Over the past two decades, the
company has constructed a superbly
equipped mineral processing facility and research and development service.
G&T Metallurgical Services routinely performs crucial metallurgical and mineralogical services, from pre-feasibility to
bankable feasibility for new deposits, and for efficiency enhancements at existing mines.  G&T operates projects across the world to service its international client base.
John Notman-Watt, managing director at Stewart Group comments: “Stewart Group and G&T Metallurgical Services are delighted with the agreement we have reached.  This partnership will
bring significant new skill sets to both companies, and help us enhance
the services we are able to provide to our clients internationally.
“It is increasingly important to broaden our service offering and
adapt to changing markets as the search for new mineral deposits
intensifies to meet future global demand for minerals and to replace
ageing mining assets.  Stewart Group and G&T Metallurgical Services
are now well positioned to meet the demands and requirements of
their customers.
“This partnership will not affect either business on a day-to-day
basis, with both G&T Metallurgical Services and Stewart Group
maintaining existing management and operational structures.  The joint
initiative is designed to help both businesses provide a greater range
of services in a shorter timeframe, through an integrated service
covering all phases of the exploration and mine development cycle.”
