Sagitta Marine successfully completed its first cargo shipment for leading global dry bulk charterer Cargill, when the 2016-built, 37,721dwt Singapore flag Reiwa Breeze arrived fully laden in Santa Marta, Colombia, carrying 33,000 tonnes of corn from the Mississippi River.

Sagitta Marine was founded in 2016 with the aim of creating a unique owner-operator, drawing inspiration from the experience gained by co-founder and managing director Thomas Zaidman including at Cargill.

“After seven years of dedicated effort, we are thrilled to have Cargill as one of our esteemed customers. This incredible full-circle moment fills us with immense pride as we continue to foster partnerships with prominent global players,” said Zaidman.

The port call was facilitated by Bogota-based Deep Blue Ship Agency which saw the vessel safely berth, discharge and set sail again in five days.
