DryDel Shipping has expanded its fleet with the delivery of the 2015-built kamsarmax, m/v Nord Beluga.
 
The 81 841 DWT Beluga, formerly the Nord Beluga, was delivered in Singapore to DryDel Shipping on 10 April.
 
The vessel was bought for US$27 million from the vessel’s previous owner, Norden.
 
The vessel is ice-classed and equipped with scrubber technology. It was built in 2015 at Oshima Shipbuilding and, according to the company, the vessel represented a significant milestone for its fleet expansion.
 
With the addition of the Beluga, DryDel's fleet consists of 11 bulkers in addition to 19 chartered-in ships and 10 newbuilds set for delivery between 2024 and 2026.
