Costamare Bulkers Holdings Limited has signed a highly significant Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Cargill International S.A. This will involve Costamare Bulkers transferring the majority of its trading book, including chartered-in vessels, cargo transport commitments and derivative positions to Cargill. Additionally, Costamare will charter four Supramax vessels to Cargill for a period of four to six months.
 
Also as part of the deal, Costamare Bulkers will enter into a bunkering services agreement with Seascale Energy, which is a joint venture between Cargill and Hafnia, and this will encompass the company’s owned and operating fleet.
 
The two entities have also agreed to cooperate on decarbonisation and vessel efficiency strategies; the implementation of decarbonisation projects; and the exploration of opportunities for joint investments in dry bulk assets and other business ventures in the sector.
 
Monaco-incorporated Costamare Bulkers Holdings Limited owns and operates dry bulk vessels. Its current fleet consists of 37 ships with an overall carrying capacity in excess of three million deadweight tons. In addition, it operates Costamare Bulkers Inc. (CBI), which specialises in vessel chartering, contracts of affreightment and freight derivatives.
