Last year, we announced that we had been awarded the contract for a new cargo handling crane at Rhenus Midgard Hamburg.

The project is now moving into its next phase: The first components are being delivered to Hamburg, and on-site assembly will begin shortly.

With each delivery, our new TUKAN is taking shape. Step by step, we are laying the groundwork to assemble the crane on site and prepare it for future use. This brings us one step closer to another important milestone in the project’s implementation.

With a 50-meter reach and a heavy-lift capacity of over 60 metric tons, the new TUKAN will support versatile cargo handling at the terminal. The crane is designed to meet the requirements of port operations and will assist Rhenus Midgard in efficiently handling a variety of cargo.

As components continue to be delivered, the project work carried out so far is becoming increasingly visible on site. Once assembly is complete, the next steps will be taken leading up to the crane’s commissioning.

We look forward to continuing to move this project forward together with Rhenus and reaching the next milestones on the path to the completion of TUKAN in Hamburg.
