ARDELT Kranbau has been commissioned by Rhenus Midgard Hamburg to supply a new, custom-designed material handling crane. Delivery is scheduled for December 2026.
The new crane complements an existing ARDELT system from 2007 and is fully designed to meet the terminal's current and future requirements. With a higher heavy-lift capacity, the option of using an electromagnetic system, and a significantly increased land-side reach, the system enhances performance in diverse handling operations, offering Rhenus and its customers greater flexibility, shorter turnaround times, and thus increased efficiency.
With a reach of 50 meters, a heavy-duty capacity of over 60 tons and a high handling capacity in several grab stages, the new TUKAN from ARDELT will enable handling of over 600,000 tons per year in the future and will expand Rhenus' range of services in a targeted manner.
